A Graft Grows Apart

48" x 48"
Oil on canvas

I sold this painting recently.

In real life the colors are much more saturated than in this photo. Somehow the internet version is lackluster in comparison to the one on my hard drive.

I'm Still Here

I'm still up and about, but for the time being without consistent internet. In any case, I've posted some of my video work onto the internet. I took a video class this past semester, and I'm in the process of uploading work onto Vimeo.

Without further ado:

Tactile Experience

So, although this is a project from last semester, I avoided posting it until now for two reasons:

1. Although I'm happy with how this project turned out, I never thought it was my best work.
2. The photos cannot do it justice; it is about the performative aspect.

But, finally, I am posting it, because there is a video on Youtube now! My performance shows up about 1 minute into it.

The idea of the project was to make a wearable sculpture and a performance to go with that sculpture, all to be worn and performed by the creators at the Wearable Sculpture Dance Party in the Turner Gallery, the Friday night before Halloween. They couldn't be costumes; they had to be wearable sculptures. There had to be at least one sewn or papermaking aspect of the sculpture.
